The 2022 Jeep Compass, with over 75 standard and advanced safety features, has earned the IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK rating after its outstanding performance in six different crashworthiness tests. The tests to assess a vehicle's ability to protect its occupants in the event of a crash were designed by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).Â
In addition to acing the six crashworthiness tests, the 2022 Jeep Compass also earned a "superior" nod for its standard-equipment full-speed forward collision warning with active braking automatic emergency braking (AEB) technology and a further "advanced" rating for its pedestrian-detection through the automated emergency braking technology. Both combine to protect the vehicle's occupants and passers-by, cyclists, and pedestrians, and both are standard features in the 2022 Jeep Compass.Â
The rating category involves vehicle models with LED projectors or LED reflector headlamps when paired with high-beam assist.Â
